And you thought you had a bad Monday. I bet it was better than surviving a car crash, climbing out, to only then be hit by a passing bus.
A driver who almost drove off a cliff on Malibu Canyon Road north of Pacific Coast Highway was struck by a bus after stumbling away from the teetering SUV, which was left dangling on the edge of the road.
According to a Facebook post by the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff's Station, deputies responded around 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The man was treated by California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department before being transported to a local hospital.
"This is another reminder of the need to drive safely through the canyons of our beautiful area and to use extreme caution at the scene of a traffic collision," sheriff's officials said.
CHP is investigating the accident.
